"Andy has been creating with glass since 1999. In 2001 he moved to the Iron Range in northern
Minnesota and opened his studio Borealis Glass. Andy uses a torch to manipulate borosilicate
glass incorporating fuming, color, dichroic glass, and millifiores into his spheres. Andy
appreciates the mechanical aspect of the designs he uses in his marble making and has been
specializing in marbles since April of 2005.
Andy has studied with Brian King and Chris Rice in order to further his education in glass
art. His marbles are showcased at The Dancing Bear Folk Center in Thermopolis, WY and are
shown at numerous local venues in Hibbing, MN."
